Welcome to San Polo Art Gallery in the Heart of Venice
Located in the historic and picturesque San Polo district, San Polo Art Gallery was inaugurated in 2021 with the aim of contributing to Venice’s rich cultural landscape. Situated in one of the most iconic and vibrant areas of the city, our gallery offers breathtaking views of one of Venice’s beautiful canals, providing an extraordinary setting for the contemporary art we exhibit. The space itself, designed to complement the beauty and heritage of Venice, merges the timeless allure of the city with the cutting-edge expressions of modern art, architecture, and design.
Our gallery is dedicated to showcasing a wide range of artworks, focusing on photography and sculpture, two mediums that allow for deep exploration of artistic expression. We pride ourselves on presenting both national and international artists whose work speaks to diverse cultural dialogues, with each piece carefully chosen to provoke thought and stimulate conversation. Through our exhibitions, we try to create a space where art, architecture, and design converge to inspire a rich and multifaceted experience for all our visitors.
Some of the celebrated artists whose works are regularly featured in our exhibitions include Max Farina, Beppe Borella, Daniele Accossato, Dario Tironi, Valeria Vaccaro, and many others. Each of these talented individuals brings a unique vision and style to the gallery, from conceptual pieces that challenge traditional forms to intricate sculptures and innovative photographic works. This diversity of style and medium is a reflection of our commitment to offering a dynamic, immersive experience for art lovers of all backgrounds.
In addition to our own exhibitions, we are proud to have collaborated with numerous prestigious institutions, further establishing our place within the global art scene. One such collaboration was with the Fondaco dei Tedeschi, a historic Venetian building that is now a cultural landmark. There, we had the privilege of presenting an installation by Max Farina, which was dedicated to the city of Venice itself. This collaboration allowed us to merge art with the architectural magnificence of one of Venice’s most iconic locations, and provided a unique opportunity for visitors to engage with art in a new way.
We have also worked closely with the Municipality of Venice, as well as esteemed academic institutions like IUAV University and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. These partnerships have enabled us to play an active role in the city’s thriving cultural landscape, participating in numerous events that celebrate the relationship between art, history, and education. One of the highlights of our annual calendar is our involvement in Art Night, a special evening organized by the universities, where the city of Venice comes alive with art, performances, and installations.
We invite you to visit us, experience our exhibitions, and become part of our artistic community. We look forward to welcoming you to our space and sharing the beauty of contemporary art in the heart of Venice.
